Personality Will Increase Your Income

Hi again,
One of the most difficult things today is building a rapport with some one. Live has become so very self centered and often the three most common words used in a conversation are “I, Me, My and Mine”.

To help you build a rapport when meeting someone for the first time, think of them as a friend.
The easiest way to build a rapport with a stranger is to ask them questions about;

them self.
their family
where they live
What they do for a living

in a friendly and un-inquisitive way.

You don’t have to come across as a ‘nosey parker’.
Hold the conversation as if you were talking to your closest friend.
People love to be asked questions about them self and their achievements.

If you are going into a business meeting it is a little different. Think that the meeting was a success, before you walk in the door. This will reflect in you personality and attitude.

Always, always keep a genuine smile on you face.

I remember reading about a young Army Officer who was going before a review board for a promotion.
On the way through the door he stumbled.
After picking himself up and coming before the board, his first words were “At least I fell in with the right company Gentlemen”. He got the promotion.

Whether this is a true story or not I am not sure, but it is use here to illustrate that Officers personality and how he was thinking before he went into that meeting.

Your personality will determine your attitude at any given time. This will in turn determine how well you will build a rapport with some one.

Remember to smile. This will help you relax and if you are relaxed the company you are with will relate to you a lot easier.
