Don’t Quit
Sometimes I come to a stage that I think “Well! What the heck – I just can’t be bothered writing to this blog anymore!”
It takes time out of my life and I would sooner be doing something else. I could go for a drive, go down to the beach (about a 5 minute walk), or just pick up a book.
Then I think – that’s not going to achieve anything!
What about those readers out there who are wondering what I am going to write about today. 
It’s really a matter of persisting though and getting on with the job. I really enjoy writing here, and once I sit at the keyboard it all seems to flow. Sometimes it might seem like dribble, and another it all seems to click.
The same can be said about any project I set out to do. It is just a matter of never giving up.
I was thinking this morning about when I went through ‘rookies’ in the army. We had to do a 20 mile march in four hours. That’s not too hard – just 5 miles per hour. And the average person walks at around 6 miles per hour. After a while though, the mind starts to get bored with the fact that you are just putting one foot in front of the other for this length of time.
It was just a case of being persistant and not giving up. Like the annual fitness qualification of completing a 9 mile course in 90 minutes. And that was with full battle gear. One foot after the other. Dont quit!
Life seems to be like that – it just keeps throwing these challenges at us.
The secret is not to QUIT. Just keep trying and sooner or later you will achieve what your goal is. Sometimes you may have to take an alternate route to get there, but you WILL get there. 
Set your goals (I guess that will be a good subject to talk about soon) and don’t loose track of what you want to achieve.
I find that once I get going on a project, what ever it may be - it’s easy to follow through to the end. I just don’t QUIT until it’s finished.
I just visualize what the end result is going to look like and keep that picture in my mind.
