Plan for 2009

We are opening a new year……..

What have you planned for 2009?
Have you planned for 2009?

I find that planning for a new year is like going to a dentist to have teeth pulled! What the heck to I want to do next year? Do some travel, grow the blogs some more, increase the $ bottom line ….dreaming…dreaming….dreaming.

Unless I actually sit down and write out what the plan is for the next week, next month, next quarter, I find that before I know it, time has flown bye.

My secret to planning is not to sit and write down the end goals, but to break them up into little bite size pieces. I used to write down goals stating;

  • a new car
  • a holiday
  • x income
  • etc

then I would look at this list throughout the year and get completely de-motivated as the goals were huge. :(

Now it’s a tad different. The end goal may be the same but written on a daily or weekly basis.

If you want to make $1000 per week. That equates to $143 per day. So what do you have to do to make $143 per day?

Is it PPC, Blogging, Ebay, Affiliate Marketing?

How many hours per day do you have to put in to generate that project that will bring in those dollars?

I find that when it is broken down like this is a lot easier to achieve the goals than looking at the $1000 per week. :)

If the goal is $10,000 per week, no problem. That’s just $1430 per day. and you just go through the process to achieve this on an hourly, daily basis as above.

What ever your goals are for 2009, don’t be afraid of shooting for the stars. Just write you goals down at one par sec at a time and you will get there.

We wish you all the best for 2009 and hope all your dreams come true for you.

Remember – if you don’t have dreams they will never come true.

Have fun and be kind to each other.

Don’t Quit

Sometimes I come to a stage that I think “Well! What the heck – I just can’t be bothered writing to this blog anymore!”

It takes time out of my life and I would sooner be doing something else. I could go for a drive, go down to the beach (about a 5 minute walk), or just pick up a book.

Then I think – that’s not going to achieve anything!

What about those readers out there who are wondering what I am going to write about today. ;)

It’s really a matter of persisting though and getting on with the job. I really enjoy writing here, and once I sit at the keyboard it all seems to flow. Sometimes it might seem like dribble, and another it all seems to click.

The same can be said about any project I set out to do. It is just a matter of never giving up.

I was thinking this morning about when I went through ‘rookies’ in the army. We had to do a 20 mile march in four hours. That’s not too hard – just 5 miles per hour. And the average person walks at around 6 miles per hour. After a while though, the mind starts to get bored with the fact that you are just putting one foot in front of the other for this length of time.

It was just a case of being persistant and not giving up. Like the annual fitness qualification of completing a 9 mile course in 90 minutes. And that was with full battle gear. One foot after the other. Dont quit!

Life seems to be like that – it just keeps throwing these challenges at us.

The secret is not to QUIT. Just keep trying and sooner or later you will achieve what your goal is. Sometimes you may have to take an alternate route to get there, but you WILL get there. :)

Set your goals (I guess that will be a good subject to talk about soon) and don’t loose track of what you want to achieve.

I find that once I get going on a project, what ever it may be - it’s easy to follow through to the end. I just don’t QUIT until it’s finished.

I just visualize what the end result is going to look like and keep that picture in my mind.

Have fun, and be kind to each other.

Firepow Software Review

December 9, 2008 by OnlineIncomeCreator · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Software

As blogging and in particular blogging for profit becomes ever more popular amongst online entrepreneurs, we’re seeing new tools developed to assist in this process being released, what seems like every week.In this post I’m going to talk about one such tool, Firepow Blogging Software, because I believe it might just be a cut above the rest in terms of it’s flexibility of use, and overall effectiveness in accomplishing the three primary aims of blogging – creating a blog, managing it or maintaining it, and getting traffic to it.

It was hard to know where to start with this post because there are so many individual features of this software that could be mentioned.

To give you a brief overview of how it works…

Firepow is based on the Wordpress platform, and allows a user to install a fully customized and functioning wordpress blog with a few clicks of the mouse.

If you’ve used Wordpress before, you’ll know that one of the best things about it is it’s ability to be enhanced by third party plugins. You’ll also know that it’s not hard to get LOST in all the plugins and potential feature additions that CAN be made.

The first thing great about Firepow from my point of view is that they have done the plugin work for you. The best 50 or so plugins from around the web have been programmed into the software so as to be automatically installed when your blog is.That’s a good feature, but it’s even better when you consider that while these plugins normally require manual fiddling to get installed, tweaks made to your theme CSS code and more – the software actually does that part for you too – so you click the button, and you have the function of that plugin added – VERY time saving! The “Create” part of the process is also helped by the ability to create your own custom wordpress theme completely from scratch, with more functionality than we’ve seen from free theme generators EVER before – not to mention the ability to create your own categories from scratch, automatically create the perfect permalink
structure for SEO, and more.

Before even getting into the Wordpress panel of the site Firepow creates you’ve also got a site management tab where all your blogs can be managed from one place, an SEO tracking tool to monitor the search rankings of all your sites, and a task manager
that tells you what needs to be done to maintain your blog/s and when.

I dare say though that the best things happen once you’re actually IN the blog.

Here you have crazy abilities to make your post content better, easily being able to add relevant images, videos, or trackbacks (automatically building backlinks to your site) to your posts… and even that’s leaving alot out.

OR the crazy abilities to monitor your blogs success, like being able to split test the results of different posts, monitor your traffic through in depth reporting (utilizing Google analytics), monitoring your search spider activity, the popularity of your posts, the terms people are searching on your site, and more still.

I feel like I’m getting too salesy in this post to you but I can assure even with everything you’ve read here, I haven’t even really touched the surface of what’s going on inside this thing called Firepow – heck we didn’t even get to the promotional tools.Oh and I could also tell you that if your into blogging and you don’t, you’ll probably regret it big time.

I hope you’ve found the information here valuable, and don’t hesitate to leave your comments on Firepow here to share with others.

The best thing I can probably do is tell you go to look at the thing yourself:

Personality Will Increase Your Income

December 5, 2008 by OnlineIncomeCreator · Leave a Comment

Hi again,
One of the most difficult things today is building a rapport with some one. Live has become so very self centered and often the three most common words used in a conversation are “I, Me, My and Mine”.

To help you build a rapport when meeting someone for the first time, think of them as a friend.
The easiest way to build a rapport with a stranger is to ask them questions about;

  • them self.
  • their family
  • where they live
  • What they do for a living

in a friendly and un-inquisitive way.

You don’t have to come across as a ‘nosey parker’.
Hold the conversation as if you were talking to your closest friend.
People love to be asked questions about them self and their achievements.

If you are going into a business meeting it is a little different. Think that the meeting was a success, before you walk in the door. This will reflect in you personality and attitude.

Always, always keep a genuine smile on you face.

I remember reading about a young Army Officer who was going before a review board for a promotion.
On the way through the door he stumbled.
After picking himself up and coming before the board, his first words were “At least I fell in with the right company Gentlemen”. He got the promotion.

Whether this is a true story or not I am not sure, but it is use here to illustrate that Officers personality and how he was thinking before he went into that meeting.

Your personality will determine your attitude at any given time. This will in turn determine how well you will build a rapport with some one.

Remember to smile. This will help you relax and if you are relaxed the company you are with will relate to you a lot easier.

Have fun and be kind to each other
